life together: gathering
(1) gathering | (2) serving >>
Our hope is that Exodus is a culture of spiritual friends and mentors “doing church” 7 days a week. There are a variety of opportunities to join in the life of Exodus including gatherings for prayer, Bible studies, community service, socials - anything we can think of to support eachother in “practical spirituality for ordinary people.”
These are some of the ongoing groups currently meeting at Exodus. Gatherings are also encouraged to develop organically through relationships formed in the Exodus community.

The group is led by Mark & Andrea Hera (indyhera@hotmail.com) and John & Claire Roth (clairearoth@yahoo.com).
Working with Hands ![]()
Saturdays, once a month.
This small group meets one Saturday a month and is open to male and female. We use the theory of “Give a man a fish he can eat for a day, teach a man to fish he can eat for a life time.” The group usually meets in Michael Davis’ garage (shop) and learns things like how to work on cars, household repairs, craft items and just about anything wants to learn how to do. If you have an idea, want more info, or to join the email list, e-mail mdavis@fotc.us.
The Fun List… ![]()
A list of activities geared toward promoting fellowship and just a great time between people of faith. Participants are mostly the 20-30 something crowd that hangs out at Exodus Church, but the crowd is as diverse as the events, including grill outs, sports teams, and November’s “Dead Turkey” dinner! Check it out at http://thefunlist.net/thelist/ and email James Stogdill (me@jamesstogdill.com) to get on the email list.

Practical Theology Study Group
Sundays, 9 - 10 am, starting Jan 17th
With a million books and podcasts available within one click, it is easy to know what everybody else is thinking or saying about God. But, it’s not often that we take time to study and articulate our personal belief about the character of God or about the journey of becoming more like Him.
We’ll take 8 weeks to look at some “practical theology” in a group environment. The format will be much less of “Rob Bell says…” or “John Piper thinks…” but much more, “I have been studying and thinking and I’ve decided…” This is a great next step for those who are discovering their faith for the first time as well as those who would like to refresh their faith in some practical ways.
We’ll meet in the art room at the Boys & Girl club.
If you are interested or have questions, email Aaron Van Ruler at: aaron.vanruler@gmail.com.
