bulletin board

People at Exodus enjoy a variety of ways of following Jesus, doing life together, and releasing life to others. This board is a service to the Exodus community, to be able to inform one another about gatherings and service opportunities that are connected to the people of Exodus, but are not necessarily Exodus-sponsored events.

For ongoing Exodus opportunities, see our pages for life together and serving others.

Summer Lunch Club
Wednesdays, 12 pm >> campus/Kirkwood area
The Summer Lunch Club is based on the notion that it’s fun to eat lunch with other people, and Bloomington has a lot of great restaurants.  Anyone is welcome to come eat, and people come and go throughout the summer as their schedules allow.  The location changes every week, so contact Markus Dickinson (md7@indiana.edu) to get on the list.

Baby Bottles Fundraiser
Your spare change is changing lives at the Crisis Pregnancy Center and Hannah House! If you don’t already have your baby bottle, see Denise Tolbert and start collecting change now through Labor Day. If your bottle is full, fill out the donation information and return it here at church or at the CPC, 808 N. College Ave.  Contact Denise Tolbert with any questions: denise@cpcbloomington.org. All proceeds benefit the Crisis Pregnancy Center of Bloomington, Inc. and Hannah House Maternity Home.

The Rise
Thursday, June 24 >> The Rise
Exodus has been developing a friendship with The Rise (a home for women & children who are victims of domestic violence… http://www.middlewayhouse.org/… right next to the park by the B&G club), and a few people have offered to lead a project making furniture and hanging out with the kids.  Mike Davis and Jeremy Helton will be heading this up.  Email Mike at mdavis@fotc.us for more information.

Green Bay Packer Backers
I have seen the jerseys on Sundays. I know that there are Green Bay Packer fans at Exodus. And I bet like me you are tired of having to sit and wait to see if the Packers are playing locally on Sunday only to get stuck watching live stat updates on the net or having to sit through another game you don’t care about just to see the scores flash on the screen. Maybe like me you have Directv but can’t find a spare $300 lying around the house to pay for NFL Sunday Ticket.
I’m looking to put together a group of Exodus Packer Backers to meet up every Sunday and have lunch in Btown and cheer on the Green and Gold. I would really like to talk to Opie Taylor’s about televising the game and saving us a table every Sunday, but first I would like to know who is interested. Please e-mail me if you are interested in Food, Green Bay Football and Fellowship.
Contact Jimmy Maxwell at jimmy@southernhillsyfc.org.
