The Circles is a program from Monroe County that helps people experiencing poverty transition into middle class through relationships with others in the community to encourage them. Exodus will take a turn making dinner for their weekly gathering. We usually cook ahead of time and bring it in to finish preparing together. Then we serve to the group (50-60 people) and clean up. The participants really appreciate a home cooked meal which reduces their barriers to participate in the programming. Contact Stephanie Dickinson (stphndcknsn@hotmail.com) for info.

Worship Group, starting Sept 12
We are starting a group for people interested in growing in worship (in a theological, practical, musical and relational environment). It would be beneficial both to those looking to grow in their own understanding of worship, both corporate & individual or anyone interested in becoming part of the worship team . Attendees will also receive a free membership at worshiptraining.com, where there is a wealth of resources available. The first meeting will take place Sunday, Sept. 12 at 6:30pm, location tbd. Saturdays, once a month >> the Davis’ home
This small group meets one Saturday a month and is open to male and female. We use the theory of “Give a man a fish he can eat for a day, teach a man to fish he can eat for a life time.” The group usually meets in Michael Davis’ garage (shop) and learns things like how to work on cars, household repairs, craft items and just about anything wants to learn how to do. Reality Check - restarting Sept 7
1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month, 7 pm
We meet bi-weekly to encourage each other, discuss a challenging book, practice hearing the voice of God, and lift each other up in prayer.  Our main focus is figuring out how to hear the voice of God and live the life Jesus wants us to live in a very practical and down-to-earth way.  We will be reading the book Dreaming with God: Co-Laboring with God for Cultural Transformation by Bill Johnson. It touches on topics such as discerning the voice of God in your life, the mystery of God, what to do when you pray and things don’t happen, and celebrating the Word of God in our daily lives. The group is led by Mark & Andrea Hera and John & Claire Roth.
